  5.     Gone though he may be, Manuel Antonio Noriega continues to
  6. provide work for the new government's auditors. One of the
  7. juicier tidbits they claim to have found is that Noriega had
  8. a computer wired directly into the national treasury account,
  9. into which he could dip at will. He also allegedly supplemented
  10. his $8,000 monthly salary and expenses by drawing on the
  11. $10,000 generated daily by the country's lottery.  Panamanian
  12. officials claim that two days before the U.S. invasion, Noriega
  13. transferred some $10 million of his own funds from Panama
  14. probably to Hong Kong. That money has not yet been traced.

  16.     On the other hand, no one has yet proved that Noriega was
  17. the coke-sniffing degenerate portrayed by U.S. officials during
  18. the invasion. And there are allegations that both the picture
  19. of Hitler and the sex manual discovered in his house and office
  20. were planted by, yes, the U.S.
